ADJUSTMENTS
AIMING
CAUTION: Keep all tires inflated to correct pressures. Place vehicle and tester on one same flat surface. Make sure there is no load in vehicle (coolant, engine oil filled to correct level and full fuel tank) other than driver (or equivalent weight placed in driver's position).
NOTE: When performing headlamp aiming adjustment, use aiming machine, aiming wall screen or headlamp tester. For operating instructions of any aimer, it should be in good repair, calibrated and used according to units respective operation manuals.
NOTE: When using a mechanical aimer, adjust adapter legs to the data marked on the headlamps. See Fig. 14 .
Adjustment
1. Adjust headlamps so that upper edge and left edge of high intensity zone are within the acceptable range. See Fig. 15 and Fig. 16 .
2. Dotted lines show center of headlamp. See Fig. 15 and Fig. 16 .

LID ALIGNMENT
Adjustment
Adjust lid, hood and fender for alignment while opening and closing headlamp with motor manual knob. Check that lid is flush and not interfering with hood. See Fig. 17 , Fig. 18 and Fig. 19 .

RIGHT-LEFT ALIGNMENT
WARNING: Before adjusting right-left alignment, disconnect battery ground cable.
Adjustment
Determine headlamp bracket location on body so alignment between lid, hood and fender is straight. See Fig. 20 .

STOPPER
Adjustment
1. Loosen lock nut on stopper.
2. Turn motor manual knob to open headlamp assembly completely. See Fig. 17 .
3. Adjust stopper screw. See Fig. 21 .

COMPONENT TESTS
HEADLAMP MOTOR
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the headlamp motor connector. See Fig. 22 .
3. Use an ohmmeter to check for continuity in headlamp motor circuit while rotating motor with manual knob. See Fig. 17 and Fig. 23 .

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

HEADLAMP
Removal and Installation
1. To remove headlamp, see Fig. 11 .
2. Assemble headlamp motor, ball joint and link A (as one unit) on headlamp bracket.
3. Assemble link A's, while turning link B ball joint on headlamp housings ball joint. See Fig. 25 .
4. Set distance between centers of upper and lower ball joints and tighten lock nuts. See Fig. 26 .

5. Assemble headlamp, finisher and lid.
6. Assemble headlamp rubber cap. See Fig. 27 and Fig. 28 .

7. Install headlamp bracket to body temporarily and check right-left alignment. Remove lid and tighten headlamp bracket securely to body.
8. Adjust lid alignment.
9. Adjust stopper.
