Honda S2000 Repair Guide

The Honda S2000 aka S2k is an open top roadster manufactured by the Honda Motor Company.
It was launched in April 1999 and was created to celebrate the company's glorious 50th
anniversary and its involvement in motorsports.
The S2k was first shown as a concept at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1995, following which it
was launched in world markets in 1999. The S2000, like most manufacturers, is named for
its engine displacement of 2 liters, carrying on the tradition of the S500, S600, and S800
roadsters decades ago. Several revisions were made throughout the car's lifetime, including
changes to the engine, gearbox, suspension and interior and exterior. Officially two model
designations exist: the initial launch model was called the AP1, while the AP2 designation
was given to the S2k models produced from 2004 onwards which contained substantial
changes to the engine, drive train and suspension geometry. Unfortunately the Production
of the S2000 will cease in June 2009.
