Before performing ANY repairs on steering column or column components, Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) MUST be disabled. Accidental air bag deployment could cause serious bodily injury.
Remove steering wheel and horn pad. Remove steering column covers. Remove steering column holder flange bolts and lower steering column. Disconnect [[IgnitionEg ignition switch]]. Center punch 2 shear bolts and carefully drill heads off lock shear bolts. Remove bolts and switch.
1. [[IgnitionEg Install]] ignition switch. Use NEW shear bolts and tighten loosely. Ensure pin on ignition switch is aligned with hole in steering column.
